In connection with today’s incident involving an armed and perilous individual, a suspect has been apprehended and is presently under custody. The occurrence transpired at precisely 12:54 p.m., prompting the issuance of an Alert Carolina and the activation of sirens. This event unfolded at the Student Union, where an individual exhibited a firearm. UNC Police have confirmed that no gunshots were discharged during this episode. It was determined to be associated with an internal matter within one of our auxiliary units.
